Planning Your Sedona Vacation

HomeAbout SedonaPlanning Your Sedona Vacation

Sedona is one of the most popular vacation destinations in the world, and as you begin contemplating your upcoming journey to the Southwest, we at Sedona.Org have created this guide to the essentials in planning a perfect Sedona vacation! Travel is easier with a little help from your friends, isn’t it?

Packing for Adventure

Perhaps the hardest part of traveling is packing, but because our Sedona.Org sanctuaries come with laundry rooms, you can rest assured that you won’t need to dump everything you need in your suitcase! In the warmer months, shorts, t-shirts, and maybe a light jacket for cooler nights may be needed, as well as comfortable walking and hiking shoes, sunscreen, and swimsuits! (Many of our homes and condos provide swimming pools and hot tubs for your vacationing pleasures!) Sedona is a very casual town, so even if you are planning a night out, you won’t need to pack any fancy clothes, and because we are quite hilly, you want to make sure your shoes can handle the incline. During the cooler months, jeans, long-sleeved shirts, and medium-weight jackets will be all you need to combat the colder weather.

Top Sites

There is a lot to see and do during your escape to Sedona, so your itinerary is going to be pretty full, and you may not get to see them all. If we were to create an itinerary of things you should NOT miss out on, it would include the following items: a visit to the Chapel of the Cross, a jeep tour of the red rocks, and a stop at any of the energy vortexes that can be found throughout the region. (Cathedral Rock vortex offers the strongest energy) Stargazing at Airport Mesa will make you realize how stunning the night sky in Sedona really is, and taking a “cruise” along the Verde Valley Wine Trail will bring visitors joy!

Best Places to Eat

Trying new restaurants is perhaps our favorite part of vacation life, and the epicurean landscape of Sedona is as magical as its red rocks! The Cowboy Club Grille & Spirits offers the perfect respite in the middle of the day, Oaxaca is a traditional Mexican restaurant that has been a local tradition for many decades, and Elote adds an elevated and innovative twist to the Mexican meals we were raised on. And finally, breakfast at the Coffee Pot will give guests access to over 100 different omelets and a full menu of their favorite breakfast foods.
