With exquisite natural views and a temperate climate year-round, Sedona makes for a perfect escape during all seasons. You’ll rarely, if ever, have to worry about inclement weather raining on your parade, and most of the time, even in the dead of winter, you can enjoy the outdoors without having to bundle up. If you’re looking to plan that perfect Thanksgiving getaway, there’s a lot you can do while you’re in town. Not only does the city plan a bunch of events, charitable or otherwise, but the culinary culture of the city runs the spectrum of incredibly fine dining to casual eats. While you’re stopping by for your Sedona Thanksgiving outing, be sure to check out some of the following options available to you.

Sedona’s Thanksgiving 2021 Feast

Being held at Sound Bites Grill, rated Sedona’s Best Seafood Restaurant in 2021, the Thanksgiving 2021 Feast will be held Thanksgiving Day only, accompanied with live baby grand piano music courtesy of musician David Vincent Mills. Expect all of the Thanksgiving mainstays to be there, in addition to some non-traditional bites like smoked salmon & bagels, tofu stuffed mushroom caps, baked brie, and more. Turkeys are being provided by the Diestel Turkey Ranch in Sonora, California, a company that has been reliably providing organic, free-range turkeys since 1949.

Tickets run for $79 per person, with kids 12 & under getting in for $39 dollars. Book your seats in advance, as the event runs from 1 PM to 7 PM, and the last reservation seats at 6 PM. Don’t miss out.

Annual Sedona Turkey Trot 5K

Going in to its 12th year, the Annual Sedona Turkey Trot is a great way to get some physical activity in with the majestic backdrop of the Sedona Red Rocks. It starts and finishes at the Posse Grounds Park in Sedona, and 2021 registration is open to runners of all different skill levels. Keep in mind that, if you plan to participate, the Trot happens on open roads, and though traffic is usually light at the time it happens, remember to share the road.

Multiple Charity Events at the Society of St. Vincent de Paul

If the holiday has you feeling like you’re in a charitable spirit, the Society of St Vincent de Paul runs multiple food banks during the month of November. All are more than welcome to stop by to help contribute to a good cause to help make sure everyone is able to have a nice Thanksgiving meal.

Fiddler on the Rock

There’s a free concert being hosted multiple weeks from October through December, and it just so happens that one of them falls right on Thanksgiving Day. Touring artist and composer Tyler Carson will be performing live along with vocalist Maya-Claire, providing a great show that’s filled with their unique sound. Expect to hear the violin in a way you’ve never heard it before. Admission is free with a donation of your choice, and the event only runs from 4 PM to 5 PM, leaving you plenty of time to find more to do with your Thanksgiving Day if you like.

Eric Miller With Adriel Zang

Speaking of finding more to do with your fun filled Thanksgiving Day, you have the opportunity to see two different live shows on the same day. Their music is described as bossa nova, a soft samba that’s based on traditional Brazilian music and fused together with American jazz.

Eric Miller is a local favorite who’s renowned for his Latin Jazz style, and after traveling throughout Europe, his style evolved into what it is now. He’s returned to his home state of Arizona to play a string of live shows, and you can expect to hear original compositions as well as familiar covers.

This event will be held at Sound Bites Grill, and while there’s no cover for music, you will need a dinner reservation in order to see the show. If you want, you might even be able to double book the Thanksgiving Feast and then stay in to see this show. Enjoy the whole day in one convenient location.
