If you’re staying with us in late February to early March, be sure to check out the Sedona International Film Festival, from February 22nd, 2020 to March 1st, 2020! 26 years running, this local festival features a collection of the best film from around the globe, right here in Sedona! With a lineup of features, shorts, documentaries, animation, foreign films, and student films over the course of nine days, it’s truly a film-lovers paradise!

A Cultured Celebration of the Best in Film at the Sedona International Film Festival

Having been running for so long, the festival attracts many out-of-town visitors—filmmakers, industry people, and those who simply love the art of film! Movies are shown across three locations: the Mary D. Fisher Theatre, the Sedona Preforming Arts Center, and the premier movie theater in town, Harkins Theaters. You can check the schedule in advance before you purchase your tickets to see where the film you’d like to see is showing! Rest assured, all locations are easily accessible in town.

There are several different pass types you can elect to buy, from the priority Platinum and Gold that allow access to all films ($1,325 and $625, respectively), to cheaper ticket packs. A 20-ticket pack costs $260, while a 10-ticket pack will run you $135. You’ll want to purchase in advance, as guests select the films they’d like to attend two weeks prior to the festival. Platinum and Gold will select first, followed by ticket pack holders. Individual tickets for single movies may be available during the festival, but the hottest films generally sell out in advance. Student discounts are available as well! This is definitely the biggest Sedona Film Festival.

In addition to up-and-coming independent films from a wide array of genres, you’ll also find special categories—such as family, sustainability, and other themes. A new initiative by the festival called “”Art into Activism Turning Movies into Motivation” encourages guests to take with them the knowledge they’ve learned from the films out into the world to enact change and make a difference. More information on scheduling and tickets can be obtained by calling their box office at (928) 282-1177.
