Set against the magnificent backdrop of the Sedona red rocks, and in a time of year where the weather is simply beautiful, this exciting outdoor event is certainly not to be missed! The Sedona Mountain Bike Festival will be held this year from March 6th, 2020, to March 8th, 2020.

A Fun Event for Mountain Bikers and the Casual Admirer at the Sedona Mountain Bike Festival

If you’re a biker, you’ll have the time of your life traversing rust-colored red rock trails with fellow mountain bikers—with over 200 miles of single-track trails, Sedona is easily an internationally recognized mountain biking destination, having enjoyed features in magazines and print. If you’re not a biker and simply want to check out the festival and the expo, you can attend the event for free, as long as you’re not using the demo bikes or shuttles reserved for bikers.

Online pre-sale tickets generally sell out, but don’t worry if you’ve missed it, as there is generally an allotment of tickets reserved for at the door sales. If you are wanting to mountain bike, a 3-day pass is $120 at the door, while a single day pass is just $50. Passes include date-specific wristbands for bike demos, and for shuttles. Companies bring demo bikes for registered attendees to use, so that means you don’t have to worry about getting your bike to Sedona! Sometimes vendors enforce time limitations, so you can always rent a bike from a local company if you don’t want to deal with waiting for a bike or being limited while exploring the beautiful trails. Over the Edge Sports and Absolute Bikes are two highly recommended shops in town that can help you out! Be sure to bring an ID and credit card for bike reservations, as well as all the proper gear—helmet, riding shoes, sunglasses, and water!

For those just wanting to check out the expo and the Sedona MTB Festival, the beer garden opens at 1 PM on all three days, and the afternoon features live music, food trucks, and skills clinics. The Saturday of the festival offers up an afterparty in the park, as well as at the Olde Sedona Bar and Grill, and a movie night the Sedona Hub—free with a festival pass!
