Spend an Afternoon Visiting Local Sedona Wine Tasting Rooms

When visiting Sedona, you’ll have plenty of tasting rooms to explore! Visit Winery 1912’s tasting room in Uptown Sedona and indulge in spectacular views and a glass straight from their southern Arizona vineyards a few hours away—business hours vary by the season. Or take a miniature road trip and make the 25-minute drive to nearby towns like Cottonwood, where you can find AZ Stronghold’s Sedona wine tasting room on the charming streets of Old Town—along with tasty tapas and inexpensive flights of local wine, open from 12 PM to 7 PM daily. Once you’re in Cottonwood, the mountain town of Jerome is only a short drive away, and features tasting rooms from Vino Arizona, Cabal Cellars, and more! Most of the wineries in Jerome close around 5-6 PM.

No matter which tasting rooms you decide to sample, make sure you spend some time perusing the quaint downtowns of all these small-town gems. Sedona, Cottonwood, and Jerome all offer a unique perspective of Arizona history, and where there’s a story, there’s a treasure! No doubt you’ll find the perfect souvenir to take home with you, whether it’s a hand-blown glass wineglass from a local artist or a vintage wine bottle opener from an antique store.

There are a couple of different options to explore the grounds of this gorgeous property. The wine tasting room is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Winery tours are conducted Fridays and Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. The tour lasts approximately 1-1/2 hours and guides you through the vineyard offering insight into trellising, irrigation, varietals, and the philosophy of growing grapes.

For the guests that are interested in experiencing the area on a deeper level, you’ll love their “Water to Wine” package. Enjoy a relaxing few hours floating down the Verde River atop a kayak before arriving at the private beach of Alcantara at the confluence of Oak Creek and Verde River. Upon your arrival, wander through the vineyard as you make your way to the tasting room, where you’re invited to sit, sip, and taste delicious culinary delights. Looking for something a little more relaxing? Book yourself a “Massage in the Vineyard.” Treat your mind & body to an experience of a lifetime with a tailored massage to meet your specific needs, which could include an emphasis on deep tissue, sports, reflexology, cranial sacral, neuromuscular therapy and polarity.
