You should not leave town without taking a picture from the top. The Chapel of the Holy Cross

This Catholic church draws people of all faiths who visit Sedona because of its unusual architectural design. Tall and straight, it sits in between two rock formations. You will have a grand view of the Coconino National Forest when you look out any one of the church’s full-length windows. The church was commissioned by a rancher in 1932 and inspired by the design of the Empire State Building. It is handicap accessible via a ramp that goes up to the doors. The church no longer has services, but you can still go to pray and light candles. It is run by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix and St. John Vianney Parish.
