Wine Crafted with True Passion that is Uniquely Arizonan
The winemakers say that their wine aims to be a representation of the untamed southwestern landscape and that each bottle is carefully created with the most quality fruit around. The grapes are grown near Willcox, Arizona, and are also sourced from other well-known local vineyards. Over the last decade, Arizona Stronghold has won several awards from renowned wine critics, such as the Tasters Guild International Wine Competition and San Francisco Chronicle Wine Awards. From robust reds to bright whites, their portfolio of wines has something for everyone.
A Lively Tasting Room on The Streets of Old Town Cottonwood
Old Town Cottonwood is along the historic route 89A, and is lined with local boutique shops, many up-and-coming culinary hotspots, and of course, the Arizona Stronghold Tasting Room! Drop-in and take a seat among the inspired southwestern décor and enjoy a $9 tasting flight. Browse their tapa menu to find tasty treats like a sirloin skewer with raspberry-chipotle sauces and tomatillo-cactus salsa. There’s also an assortment of other small plates and a selection of cheese boards. On Friday evenings, you’ll find live music from 6 PM to 9 PM.
More Than Just Your Average Winery
They also host a number of off-site events, which in the past have included a sightseeing day trip and winetasting aboard the Verde Valley Railroad, or their summer white wine release pool party. They’ve also done a dinner crawl in Old Town, where you stop at different restaurants and have a delicious course paired with a glass of their wine. And don’t forget, if you love their wine you can always become an Archive Club Member and have them shipped right to your door back home! As a bonus, members also enjoy free tastings in the tasting room.
