Mountain Bike Rentals

The businesses below are just a few of the local vendors that cater to Sedona mountain biking and their riders.

Over the Edge

With bike models that can only be described as top of the line, Over the Edge is the place to go when you want to rent the best of the best in bikes. Unfortunately, 24-hour bike rental is not available; all bikes are due back by 6pm on the day of renting. However, OTE does offer help with bike sizing, a damage protection plan, helmets, pump kits, and flat kits, car racks, and customizable pedals, saddles, and stems. Prices vary widely depending on the model chosen, ranging from as low as $29.99 to upwards of $500.

Absolute Bikes

Offering a fine selection of mountain bikes, Absolute Bikes also includes a backpack and lock for free with your bike rental. Prices depend on the model chosen for rent, with prices beginning at $30.00. All rentals include a helmet, repair kit, bike pump, spare tube, personalized fit, and choice of pedals. They also offer half-day rentals.

Bike & Bean

This unique hybrid of coffee shop and bike rental shop has frame sizes to fit any size of rider, from extra small to extra large. Like the previous two rental stores, Bike & Bean’s rental bikes come with platform pedals, a repair kit, and a helmet, as well as trail information specific to your difficulty level and the desired length of time for your ride. The shop also has custom wheel sizes (including 26 inches, 27.5 inches, and 29 inches) and offers overnight bike rentals at $20.00 with early pickup. Otherwise, bikes are due back by closing at 5:00pm.

Hit the Trails

After you rent your bike through one of the vendors above (or after you bring your bike out from the car, if you’re bringing your bike on the trip), make sure you take advantage of the scenic trails all around Sedona!

Red Rock State Park has nine trails, including the Old Post to Ridge Loop, the twelve-mile Cathedral Rock Big Loop, the Baldwin Loop, Ramshead, and Sketch. Old Post Trail, Ridge, and Baldwin Loop are each over two miles, while the other loops are a little over a mile.

Bell Rock Pathway is great for the whole family, as it is more of a beginner’s route. Big park loops will also be ideally suited to beginning bikers who want more of a challenge than an easy pathway.

Serious bike riders can try the loop through Slim Shady, Made in the Shade, Templeton, and Baldwin Trails or the loop through Llama, Little Horse, Chicken Point, and Submarine Rock for an extreme challenge who have the technical skills.
