Clarkdale
A sleepy little town that was once a company town, Clarkdale is a place where the noise of the real world is muffled and calm. Eat like a cowboy at Nates Cowboy Café or ride the Verde Canyon Railroad on their monthly Saturday Starlight tour. Sit back, relax, and enjoy life at a slower pace in Clarkdale, Arizona.
Cottonwood
Home to the Tuzigoot National Monument, multiple wineries, and a quaint little Western town called Blazin M Ranch, life is quiet in Cottonwood also, but you will never lack for something to do! Tuzigoot National Monument is one of a few surviving rock dwellings built by the ancient Sinaguas that still stand proud and tall as a monument to a historic people. Sample a taste of Arizona’s best wines in the tasting rooms of Arizona Strongholds Winery at 1023 N. Main Street or be entertained by the performances of the Blazin M Cowboys in the dinner theater at Blazin M Ranch located at 1875 Maberry Ranch Road.
Jerome
This former mining town has a large and illustrious history complete with brothels, bars, and bootleggers, and while it’s no longer the wild child it once was, Jerome will still entertain you. Today, Jerome is a thriving artists’ colony filled with galleries and boutiques featuring one-of-a-kind art pieces, jewelry, and other special treasures, as well as a cute little Christmas store called Mooey Christmas & Udder Things that stays open year-round. Sample local wines in style at the Jerome Winery, or take a ghost tour of the Powder Box Church and experience the opportunity to be a real live ghost hunter—for the length of the tour, of course!
