The kids will be able to meet with Santa and take some pictures, and you’ll also enjoy the different live music offerings that take place over the course of the afternoon and evening. This arts & crafts village is an absolute must see destination during any trip to Sedona, and it certainly doesn’t disappoint during the Christmas season, either. This may very well be the spot where most of the holiday parties happen, but even when nothing in particular is going on, it will be lit up for the holiday season. The entire plaza will be lit up throughout the month, and it’s the perfect place to spend your afternoon or evening while enjoying the seasonal spirit.
Holiday Sweet Stroll
On December 18th, the arts village will be lit up and decorated to be reminiscent of A Christmas Carol, and carolers dressed in era appropriate dress will be walking around singing all of the classic Christmas carols you’ve come to know and love. Santa will be here greeting the children as well, and you might even find the Grinch lurking around the courtyards creating mischief. While you’re enjoying the songs, the nearby shops will be open for business, offering up gifts and treats for attendees.
Board the Sedona Christmas Trolley
If you want to get a comprehensive view of the city and all of the different sights it has to offer, this is the way to do it. You’ll be aboard an open-air car for either an hour- or two-hour-long tour depending on how in depth you want your trip to be. This tour can be informative, too, as the on-board narrator will give you bits of interesting information about the history and decor you’ll be seeing.
Christmas Journey on the Verde Canyon Railroad
Happening throughout the entire month up to Christmas Eve, you’ll enjoy taking the kids along on this magical journey on Santa’s secret tracks to the North Pole. You’ll have a fun filled evening seeing all of the different attractions along the way, like the Bird’s Eye Village and brightly lit “North Pole”, where Santa will come aboard and give a gift to all of the kids on board the train. Not just aboard for the gift giving, though, Santa will stay aboard throughout the return trip to talk to all of the passengers and spread Christmas cheer.
