Our Sedona holiday rentals are all located in prime Sedona locations such as the Gallery District, West Sedona, the Chapel Area, and the Village of Oak Creek. We have several selections, including vacation homes, condos, cabins, and large estates that can accommodate up to 20 guests! Over the years, Arizona has garnered a reputation as a snowbird’s paradise, known for its part-time denizens who escape the winter temps of more northern latitudes. However, those same snowbirds often remain in Phoenix and Tucson during the winter since Sedona can be quite cold. If you are renting a home in the winter, more often than not, there will be more accommodations for you in this winter wonderland.

While there’s always a chance of snow in Sedona, if you’re looking for a sure thing, you can pretty much count on it up in Flagstaff, just a 30-minute drive away. Head to Snowbowl for a day of slippery slopes on the ski lifts or simply head to the lower viewpoints of the San Francisco Peaks for a day of building snowmen and sledding. If you happen to be in Flagstaff to ring in the new year, definitely head to their picturesque downtown to explore the shops, eat delicious food, and watch the Annual Pine Cone Drop at the historic Weatherford Hotel.

During other times of the year, the summer attracts visitors celebrating holidays such as Independence Day, Memorial Day, and Labor Day, while the autumn ushers in perfect temperatures and visitors in search of fall color.

In fact, visitors will find locals as well as tourists in restaurants, shops, pubs, and especially on the trails throughout the year. From food truck festivals to farmers’ markets, there is always something to do in this diminutive town of barely 11,000 people.

A staple in the community, definitely pay a visit to Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village. Featuring local artists and crafters, this is a great way to experience the multitude of cultures present in this area. Native American folklore, Hispanic heritage, and even Pagan traditions come to life in this picturesque village with a captivating stone water fountain in the center. While this space is beautifully decorated for the Christmas season, you’ll find it’s festively alive at any given holiday throughout the year.

Celebrate in Sedona and Reconnect

But perhaps the best thing about Sedona is that you can celebrate however and wherever you’d like. Skip the consumeristic greed associated with so many holidays these days and opt instead for plain and simple, good, clean fun. Adults and children alike will marvel at the naturally occurring rock slides in Oak Creek. Spend your July 4th at Slide Rock State Park or opt instead for the best Cathedral Rock views at Red Rock State Park. Both of these picturesque spots offer an amazing experience at a naturally occurring outdoor waterslide.

When you’re not cooling off in the crisp water of Oak Creek, soak up the sun atop the red rock boulders or hunt for wildflowers in the shade of the trees that line the creek. For a different creek experience altogether, head to Grasshopper Point, known for its deep waters that make cliff-jumping from varying levels of the red rock a memorable way to spend your summer holidays. Bring a fishing pole and try your hand at catching a delicious rainbow trout dinner.

Another favorite spot to celebrate in Sedona, whether it’s a personal birthday, a solstice, or even a Kwanzaa drum circle, is the Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park. Nestled in the beautiful red rocks at the foot of Thunder Mountain, the stunning architecture of this gorgeous park is adorned with colorful peace flags. Long recognized as holy ground by many of the native tribes in the area, Buddhists have also come to acknowledge this 14-acre park as a sacred space that holds the power of spiritual healing and transformation. The Amitabha Stupa itself rises 36 feet into the air and is filled to the brim with sacred relics that line the interior. Though these relics are not visible to the naked eye, this structure is truly a vessel containing otherworldly powers.

Known throughout the world for its beauty atop the red rock cliffs of Sedona, the Chapel of the Cross is a destination not to be missed. The construction of this iconic church was completed in 1956, built with a twin-pinnacled spire about 250 feet high, jutting out from a 1,000-foot rock wall, making it “solid as the rock of Peter.” While Mass is not regularly celebrated here, guests are invited to come to tour the church infrastructure, view the one-of-a-kind artwork, and light a candle in prayer for their loved ones. This is a unique destination for contemplative prayer and breathtaking views of Sedona from above, while also providing an opportunity to support locals at the gift shop, which features many unique items produced by local artists.
