Inside the Sedona accommodations you’ll find spaces just as gorgeous as those outside. Large Fun for Large Groups
The downside to traveling with a large group can be finding activities, restaurants, and/or events that can easily accommodate all the people in your traveling party. The world isn’t often built for large-scale entertainment, (except when it comes to sporting events, of course!) but in Sedona, there will be no worries because we welcome large parties pretty much everywhere you go! The most popular activities, hiking, jeep tours, and shopping are guaranteed to keep you interested and entertained. The trails that traverse the red rocked landscape are mystical, magical, and offer the most incredible views of Sedona and range in difficulty from easy for families to “What were you thinking?”
Take the family path to Bell Rock and experience one of the most powerful vortexes in the city, one that is supposed to bring serenity and energy to all who are nearby. Even if you are unsure of the mystical part of your hike, the views from the trail and Bell Rock will transform you into a believer in the power of a good hike! If “What were you thinking?” hikes sound like fun to your group, the Bear Mountain Trail will provide! Taking hikers higher and higher into the red rocks only those with strong legs, lungs, and determination will be able to make it to the summit, but if you do, be prepared to be stunned speechless. The 360-degree views from the highest point of Bear Mountain Trail will change your life, so take some extra snacks, pull up a rock, and enjoy a relaxing break with all of Sedona spread below you!
Fishing in Oak Creek is another fun activity for groups, but probably only if you can keep the laughter and noise levels down! Oak Creek is open for fishing year-round, so if you are staying in one of our Sedona.Org sanctuaries near the creek, you can plan on many peaceful and fruitful fishing expeditions during your stay. Fly fishing for trout so large they could win a trophy will make you the envy of all those who couldn’t make the trip, so be sure to keep your cell phone on camera mode and take plenty of pictures of your bounty! You will need fishing licenses, which can be purchased online before you even head out on your fabulous Arizona vacation at the website posted here.
Summer adventures will be that much more fun and exciting when you spend a day exploring the waters of Slide Creek State Park. The cold waters feel good against overheated skin and the natural waterslide created by red rocks offers an experience you will talk about for years to come! Once an apple farm acquired by the Homestead Act of 1910, the park itself offers a peek into the early lives of Arizona settlers as it provides an entertaining way to stay cool!
Nightlife in Sedona
If you are visiting Sedona planning on a clubbing adventure, well, you may soon discover that you have chosen the wrong destination. We do offer a wonderful selection of pubs, restaurants, and wine bars, but most close around 11 PM, and although there is no wrong way to dress, you won’t find many glittery party dresses or elegant tuxedos unless you are at a wedding! What you will find, however, is a night sky that is deep, dark, and mysterious and because Sedona is a Dark Sky Community that discourages light pollution, it will be lit up by the twinkle of a billion stars! Evening Sky Tours offers a tour of the galaxy, and even as a few of the tours are limited to a maximum of six people, your large group can be accommodated, ensuring that your participation in Sedona’s version of nightlife will be more than you dreamed it could be!
Arts and Culture
Sedona may be a small town, but it is a small town with many of the same amenities as larger cities. The Sedona Arts Performing Arts Center, located at 995 Upper Red Rock Loop Road, offers plays, music shows, and a variety of other performances that will add culture to your Sedona journey. The landscape of our mountain town attracts the most talented of artists from all over the world, and you can’t walk far without encountering galleries that expose their works. The Sedona Arts Center features the largest selection of local artists, but if you really want a more varied selection of galleries, a visit to Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village should be at the top of your bucket list! Offering everything from glass art galleries to a charming Christmas Store that is open year-round, we can promise that you and your companions are sure to find masterpieces that will only look better when they are hanging on your walls at home!
