Get Comfortable
It may only be two, maybe three days that you are staying in paradise, and your first instinct may be that a hotel would be more amenable to a short stay, but we urge you to not go with your first instinct. You deserve the comfort and space we offer in all our properties and in many cases, our costs can end up being lower than a hotel. And when you step inside for the first time, seeing the comfort and luxury laid out before you and falling in love with the views through windows that may take up an entire wall space, you will see how much you needed this and will feel how much it is deserved. There is no logic behind being uncomfortable on vacation, even if it is just for a couple of days and when you explore all that we have to offer, we know you will agree.
All the Comforts of Home
A quick visit to Sedona may mean you spend most of your time “at home” simply letting the peace of our homes fill you up, so being comfortable is important. Our living rooms may be the site of some of your best naps, even if you are trying to watch your team beat our team on the big screen hanging over the fireplace, and if your weekend visit is a winter one, we know that a roaring fire will add an extra element of comfort to your leisure time. Maybe you will curl up in that oversized chair placed where the light is best, reading chapter after chapter because this is the first time in a very long time that you have had the chance to do so. Or maybe you will take that book, your tablet, your cell phone and head out the double doors that lead to decks, patios, or balconies, and sit in silence and awe as the beauty of Sedona feeds a need you never knew you had. Out here you may hear the sounds of children laughing in the distance, the hum of a lawn mower’s engine, or nothing more than the sounds of the wind rustling through the trees and if a touch of lethargy invades your body, no one is going to judge.
Dining Rooms or Eat-In Kitchens
We don’t often think about the purpose that dining rooms offer in our lives, but when you do you will realize they serve as more than just a place to eat a meal. At home, it where homework is done, where important conversations are held, and families gather to play games on the weekends and in Sedona, it will be the same. (Except for the homework thing; we hope you aren’t having to do homework during this wonderful weekend in paradise.) Waking up the mornings and sitting at the table with a cup of coffee in hand, watching the world come awake around you is one of life’s greatest luxuries and because our fully equipped kitchens offer coffee makers or Keurigs, you won’t have to run out to an expensive coffee shop every time you need a caffeine fix. The chairs that surround these tables will be comfortable ones, inviting you to sit longer and relax more, something you don’t often get to do during your busy life at home.
To Cook or Not to Cook
This weekend will probably be a great time to explore the culinary landscape of Sedona and there is going to be lots of delicious food you will enjoy, but you will still find use for the kitchens of our Sedona weekend rentals even if you don’t decide to cook. We’ve already mentioned those coffee makers, but what about the wine refrigerators that will keep your bottles of Arizona wines from Winery 1912 (located right here in Sedona) chilled perfectly? Or when you’re sitting out on the balcony at sunset, thinking a frosty margarita would sound really good right now, the blender that rests on the counter will help you enjoy as many or as few as you like. And when you wake up in the middle of the night feeling a little snacky, thinking your leftovers from the Cowboy Club Grille will hit the spot, reheating them in our microwaves will make them taste just right. Even if you don’t cook during your weekend stay, there will still be plenty of opportunities to utilize the fully equipped kitchen in your temporary escape.
A World of Fun
Sometimes all you need is a weekend to play and our homes will offer plenty of opportunities for you and your traveling companions to do just that. Inside there may be game rooms equipped with arcade games, gaming tables, and video game consoles and there may also be a theater room with recliners that offer cup holders and a selection of movies to relax to. Outside, guests may spend a pleasant hour or so hitting a small white ball in to the cups of a putting green, hanging out by the pool working on their tans, or soaking in a hot tub under the stars, feeling the bubbling jets ease the tension in your neck and loosen the tightness of the muscles in your legs. Hammocks are great for napping and reading, cushioned patio furniture will provide another soft spot to relax and gathering round a firepit on a chilly winter night, roasting marshmallows and making s’mores may be the highlight of your Arizona weekend adventures.
So, It’s Going to be One of Those Weekends?
We live in a world where hard work is expected and sleep can be judged and your weekend in Sedona may be a time when you can catch up on your sleep without fear of judgment. Napping in hammocks, on sofas, or on patio furniture in fenced in backyards are all great ideas, but what about taking it to the bedroom and sleeping the weekend away? Premium beds topped with soft linens and supportive pillows will encourage marathon naps, while tightly drawn curtains and blinds will help keep the sun from peeking in to brightly. En suite bath with deep tubs may entice you to fill the bath with warm and aromatic waters, sinking into its depths with a book, a glass of wine, and the realization that sleep won’t be far behind and when you do climb into bed, your sleep will be deep and uninterrupted.
